Privacy Policy for Pax Gmail Trigger

Who runs this app

Pax Gmail Trigger is a personal, single user automation operated by Michael Choe (the "operator") for his own Gmail account, mchoe50@gmail.com. It is not offered to the public and no one else can sign in or use it.

What data the app accesses

With the account owner's consent, the app uses the Gmail API with the gmail.readonly scope. That scope lets the operator's assistant:

• Register a Gmail watch so Google sends a notification when the mailbox changes. The notification itself contains only a history identifier, not message content.
• Read message metadata and content in the owner's mailbox, only when a notification arrives and only to identify and file mail the owner has asked the assistant to watch for, such as mail from his lawyer.

The app cannot send, delete, or modify mail, and it requests no other Google scopes.

How the data is used

Data accessed through the Gmail API is used only to notify the owner about new mail in his own account and to file that mail into his own records, as described above. It is not used for advertising, not used to build profiles, and not used for any purpose unrelated to this notification and filing function.

Sharing

No data obtained through the Gmail API is sold, rented, or shared with third parties. The only services that process the data are Google Cloud services in the operator's own project (Gmail API and Cloud Pub/Sub), which move the notification from Google to the operator's assistant.

Storage and retention

The OAuth refresh token for this app is stored on the operator's own computer in a file readable only by its owner account. Mail the assistant files is kept in the operator's own case records. The owner can delete any of it at any time.

Revoking access

The owner can revoke this app's access at any time from the Google Account permissions page (myaccount.google.com/permissions). Revoking access stops the trigger immediately, and the stored token stops working. The Gmail watch and the Pub/Sub topic in the operator's Google Cloud project can also be deleted, and either step stops the automation on its own.

Limited Use disclosure

Pax Gmail Trigger's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
